Merit Pages Celebrate KSU Student Accomplishments

A group of people and a mascot in Kennesaw State University attire stand together promoting Merit Pages, a platform for highlighting student accomplishments.

In case you missed this and were wondering how to view and share your student's accomplishments, Kennesaw State University has a platform to celebrate student accomplishments!

These online profiles, or Merit pages, are automatically created and updated by Kennesaw State when students make the dean’s or president’s list, earn academic awards, present research at a conference, and more. Hundreds of colleges in the United States use Merit to recognize and promote success via personalized pages for their students. Updates to Merit pages can also be shared with a network of stakeholders who care about each student’s success: their hometown media outlets, state legislators, parents, and friends via social networks.

What’s in it for students?
Kennesaw State University maintains the Merit pages. In addition, other organizations in the Merit network, such as national honor societies, Greek organizations and service groups, can add achievements to Merit pages. Also, students can make additions to their profile if they desire. Merit allows each student to customize a Merit page URL, add a profile photo, bio, and other activities and work experience. Students can even include photos and videos to further demonstrate involvement.

When Merit pages are connected to a student’s social networks such as Facebook, X, or LinkedIn, they will ensure that friends and family can see and learn about the great opportunities they’re enjoying at Kennesaw State and the recognition they’re earning.

How Merit works
Merit is an online platform and automated email system managed by Kennesaw State’s Office of Strategic Communications and Marketing. KSU will send an email to your student, who then can follow these steps:

  • Click “view my achievement” after opening the message.
  • Claim their Merit page by connecting through Facebook, X, or email. Each Merit page will showcase each student’s specific college career achievements.
  • Customize a profile page with a photo, personal activities and privacy settings.
  • Share earned badges via Facebook, X, LinkedIn or email.
  • Look for future emails with badges for student accomplishments.

Students can opt out at any time by following the opt-out instructions at the bottom of any Merit email. For more information about Merit, visit https://www.kennesaw.edu/news/merit-pages.php.
