We're Here For Your Student —Even During Spring Break
Whether your student plans to stay on campus or go home during spring break, remind them to save the RA on call phone number in their phone before they go. Housing and Residence Life has staff on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including holidays. If they are on campus and need assistance, we are here to serve them. Find the RA on call phone numbers for each community, as well as information about the LiveSafe App on our website.
COVID-19 Tips
- Students can get tested on campus
- We recommend getting a COVID-19 test before returning to campus, even your student is asymptomatic
- Students should practice social distancing, limit gatherings, wash their hands often and wear a face covering to help prevent the spread of COVID-19
- Monitor yourself and your student for COVID-19 symptoms; if they're showing any, even if they are mild, they quarantine and get tested
- If your student tests positive, be sure they isolate in a separate bedroom and use a separate bathroom at home and complete KSU’s self-reporting form
24/7 Mental Health Support
Wellbeing@KSU is here to support your student’s mental and emotional health whenever they need it. They can speak with an experienced clinician, get a referral for one-on-one counseling, receive access to free counseling sessions, and even schedule an appointment with a counselor.
To get started, they should call (470) 578-6600 and select option 2 to be connected to a licensed, master's-level mental health clinician, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. All services offered through Wellbeing@KSU are confidential. For more information about this program, visit the Wellbeing@KSU website.
If your student is experiencing a mental health crisis while on campus after hours, please tell them to contact the RA on call for their community or the University Police at (470) 578-6666. Our staff will connect them with an on-call counselor available 24/7.
