If your student is living in an Academic Year License Agreement community or graduating, Move-Out begins this week. We thank you for supporting your student as they lived in the Nest this year; we hope they have had a great experience.
Below is a list of Academic Year License Agreements. If your student lives in one of these communities, their Move-Out deadline is May 11 at 12 p.m.
- Hornet Village 100 and 200
- KSU Place
- University Village
- University Village Suites
Below are some helpful tips to ensure a smooth Move-Out process for your student.
- Be sure your student removes all personal belongings from their bedroom, bathroom and shared spaces. Any items left behind will be thrown away, and your student will be billed for removing the items. Encourage them to check under the beds, behind dressers and in the back of drawers and cabinets to make sure nothing is left behind.
- Please encourage your student to clean their room and common areas and take all trash to their community’s dumpster. If their community’s dumpster is full, they can bring it to another dumpster location; they should not overload the dumpsters.
- Students will head to their Housing Office during the Move-Out time they selected through the Housing Portal. If they arrive more than ten minutes after their specified time, they will receive a $100 improper checkout fee.
If your student would like to live on campus this summer, housing is available for students taking six credit hours in University Village (premium apartments) on the Kennesaw Campus and in Hornet Village (suite-style) on the Marietta Campus. The application deadline is Friday, May 14.
- The total cost of summer housing for either community is $800 for the entire summer.
- Students must be enrolled in at least six credit hours’ worth of summer classes to be eligible for summer housing.
