We are very excited to welcome your Owl to their new home in just a few short weeks! Below are some essential pre-arrival items that MUST be completed before your student moves in.

• The Talon Card serves as your student’s “key” to their on-campus housing and how they access their Meal Plan and Dining Dollars. If they have not done so already, make sure your student submits a photo for their Talon Card. Please have them follow these instructions for taking and uploading a photo online. Once their photo is approved, they will receive an email to their KSU email account with instructions for picking up their card. They must complete this by this Saturday, July 31. A photo must be submitted to receive their Talon Card during check in on your student’s chosen Move-In Day. Otherwise, your student will need to visit the Talon One Service Center on or before Move-In to get their card.

• Each student needs to create a unique 6-digit access PIN. This PIN is necessary to enter their room.
• If your student is bringing a car to campus, they need to purchase a Residential Parking Permit through the Parking Portal 24-hours after registering for classes. They do not need to have a permit if they won’t have a vehicle on campus.
• Review our packing list of items they will need to bring and what to leave at home.
