Hello KSU Families! Below I've organized some links and thoughts to assist you with crafting your Saturday Football experience with your family for 2021.
Again, my apologies for having to transition the VIP/Football Experience out of the ticketed options for the weekend. It wasn't an easy decision and it wasn't what I wanted to happen. Many factors played a part in the cancelation of that part of the weekend experience, and overall, it was the best decision for this year. This isn't intended to be a permanent schedule change. It's a transitional year and this last minute adjustment had to be made. This will still be a wonderful weekend with many more options than afforded in 2020; however, still less than in 2019. We'll get there. Thank you for your responses and your questions.
Now, let's talk about what you are able to do to craft your KSU Family Weekend Football experience! Our Athletics Department has helped to organize some promotional deals on seats and parking options for our KSU Families through THIS LINK. You'll be able to search different price points for seats as well as parking. NOTE: You do NOT have to purchase parking, but if you are looking to park closer to the stadium, these are the best deals for that option. If you choose not to pay for parking, and would rather walk, you are certainly welcome to do that. You can park on campus and take the Game Day route offered through our Big Owl Bus. It's a personal choice, and some decide to ride the shuttle to the stadium and walk or uber/lyft back to campus after the game. Please note the times of the shuttle and plan accordingly.
When planning football seating with your student, you'll have some things to consider:
- Students have the option to claim their student section seating ticket online HERE. Students may start to claim their complimentary tickets for Family Weekend/Homecoming beginning Monday, October 11th at 10am. Student ticket seating is located in the South End Zone.
- If your family would like to have everyone sitting together for the game, you'll need to ensure you purchase a ticket for your student in the section where you are sitting. The student ticket only allows the student to sit in the student section for the duration of the game. Again, here's the Athletics Department KSU Family Promo Link as referenced above.
As far as food/concessions at the game, the food offerings for the original VIP stage area, is the same food that you will have the option of purchasing at the stadium. Alcohol purchases are also allowed this year for anyone 21+ at the stadium, so you'll also have this option upon entering the stadium.
Finally, here's the Full Weekend Schedule again if needed for quick reference. All events leading up to kickoff near the stadium will have additional details added to help you with your options/plans. Please continue to check this schedule frequently over the next few weeks.
