Hooty-Hoo Owl Families/Supporters!
Now that we are in the second full week of classes, students should be getting used to using our Owl Life system for all official student department/organization events that they may want to attend. It has awesome filters to hone their search too! Be sure to encourage your Owl to utilize OWL LIFE to find out about all the great campus events/organizational meetings - large and small. I got you started with a lot of the major programming last week and into this week, but it's now on your student to search and get plugged into the areas they are most interested in attending.
Do me a favor and check in with them about this so they can take ownership over their involvement, then rest assured you've given them the tools to be successful!
Remember, it's important to nudge, but that careful nudging should ultimately lead to empowerment for your student. It's a tricky season of them wanting to be independent, but sill very dependent. We'll get there, together!
