Your Student’s CHECKLIST Before Starting at KSU this Fall (Part 1)!
As your student prepares to embark on their exciting journey at Kennesaw State University this fall, we want to ensure a smooth transition and a successful start to their college experience. We like to say to students that there are 5 Things to Do Before You Start at KSU, so let's go through your student’s first important task together!
1. Uploading a Talon Card Photo
One of the first things your student will need is their Talon Card — the official identification for KSU. This card is their key to campus and beyond! If your student has not yet done so, they should follow these simple steps to upload a driver’s license-style photo of themselves facing forward on a white background. Remember, this should be completed before their Orientation Day.
Why is the Talon Card important? It grants your student access to various facilities and services on campus, such as:
- Residence halls and shared spaces
- Dining Dollars
- Printing on campus
- Meal Plan entries
- Rec Center access
- KSU sporting and special events
We are thrilled to welcome your student to KSU and want to make sure they have everything they need for a successful start. By completing this first task, they'll be one step closer to fully enjoying the vibrant campus life we offer!
