The Kennesaw State University fight song contains the lyric "Strong in the classroom," and the Department of Athletics' fall semester grades support the line's truth. KSU student-athletes earned a 3.15 GPA which is the second highest on record.

"I am very proud of the efforts of our student-athletes to succeed in the classroom this fall. We had the highest recorded history of student-athletes earning a spot on the Dean's list, which is a testament to their hard work and dedication," said Associate Athletics Director for Student-Athlete Success Services (SASS) Dr. Randy Kennedy. "I appreciate the support of the SASS team, coaches, faculty, and others across campus who help support the success our student-athletes."

The softball team earned the highest team GPA with an incredible mark of 3.70. Baseball was the highest men's team with 3.37 GPA. Along with men's track and field (3.05), this was their highest recorded fall GPA.

A whopping 67% of KSU student-athletes were "Top Flight Owls" with a 3.0 or higher GPA and a record 181 Owls landed on the Dean's list.

The semester also included individual honorees by national organizations and the Atlantic Sun Conference.
