Hooty Hoo Parents and Supporters,
We're excited to announce Kennesaw State University scholarship applications are now OPEN through March 1, 2025, on ScholarshipUniverse!
KSU offers an easy, mobile, and personalized tool that makes searching and applying for scholarships more accessible than ever. Your student can get started now by following the steps below.
- Have your student log in to ScholarshipUniverse with their KSU NetID and password.
- They then need to select the "Questions" tab to the left and answer questions about themselves, their academic plans, and their background.
- Be sure they answer at least the first 30 questions on their profile since these are used to match them with internal scholarships. The more questions they answer, the better their chances of matching!
- Your student can click the "Scholarships" tab on the left to view their matched scholarships.
- They can also check the "Partial Matches" tab to review scholarships they may qualify for! Some may need a few additional profile questions answered to determine if they are eligible.
- To apply for matched KSU Scholarships, your student needs to click the "Applications" tab on the left.
- To apply for external scholarships, they must select "Apply" in your "Matches" section, which will direct them to the external application.
- Follow any additional instructions for scholarships requiring essays, writing samples, or letters of recommendation.
- View our tips on submitting a letter of recommendation and writing a great scholarship essay!
- Have your student consider uploading their resume and adding a professional headshot to spruce up their profile!
- To upload a resume: Select the "My Docs" tab to the left, click the "Add +" button at the top right, name your file, select "Resume" from the dropdown, and upload your resume document.
- To upload a professional headshot: Click your name in the top right corner and select "Profile" in the dropdown menu.
We encourage your student to always research opportunities for external scholarships throughout the year. External scholarships have varying deadlines, so pay close attention to the dates within each scholarship!
No matter what your student is searching for, you can feel confident knowing our third-party vendor vets every external scholarship and that their information will never be sold. And remember, you should never have to pay a person or a service to apply for any scholarships.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the KSU Scholarship Team at scholarshipapps@kennesaw.edu, or visit KSU's scholarship website for more information.
Thank you, and Go Owls!
