Has Your Student Selected a Fall Parking Permit?

From kennesaw.edu/parking

At KSU, we want to ensure your student has a smooth start to the semester — including parking! Help them prepare by reviewing this step-by-step guide to purchasing a parking permit for the Kennesaw Campus or Marietta Campus.

How to Purchase a Permit:

  1. Log in to the Parking Portal using their NetID and password.
  2. Click the “Permits” tab, then select “Get Permits.”
  3. Click “Next” to access the Permit Selection and Agreement page.
  4. Choose a permit and agree to the parking rules and regulations.
  5. Add up to five vehicles by selecting “Add an Additional Vehicle.”
  6. Review the Purchase Overview page for permit details and campus maps.
  7. Click “Checkout” and then “Transfer Permit Fee to Owl Express” to finalize the process.

A confirmation email will be sent once the permit is successfully selected.

Which Permit Should They Choose?
Residential Students:
Choose a permit based on their campus residence and community.

  • Marietta Campus: Select the Marietta Residential Permit.
  • Kennesaw Campus: Choose either a First-Year or Upper-Class Residential Permit.

Commuter Students: Select a commuter parking permit for access to designated lots on both campuses.

Important Dates for Fall 2025:

  • New Commuter Students: Can purchase a permit 24 hours after registering for classes at New Student Orientation.
  • New Residential Students: Will be able to purchase permits closer to Move-In (August 13–15).
  • Returning Students: Will receive emails a few weeks before permit selection opens. Dates are based on classification and credit hours.

Reminder: License Plate = Parking Permit
Your student’s license plate is their permit. Make sure all vehicle details (make, model and plate number) are accurate in the Parking Portal to avoid citations.

We look forward to welcoming your student this fall! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
