If your student has a hold on their account, it could prevent them from being able to register for classes in the future. Depending on what the type of hold is, there are different offices that they will need to contact to get it released. Information on the most common types of holds are below, and details on all holds at KSU can be found online HERE (then click Registration then Registration Holds) .
Does your student have an advising hold?
If so, they should contact their academic advisor to set up a meeting and address the issue with them directly. Have questions? They’re here to help! Email them at AskAdvising@kennesaw.edu.
Does your student have a registration hold for a past-due balance?
Even a small unpaid charge (like a parking ticket, library fine, or replacement fee for a lost ID card) can prevent your student from signing up for next semester. You can check student balances in the portal and make payments at https://epay.kennesaw.edu. If you don’t already have access to the epay site, your student can add you as an authorized user via the same link.
For questions, your student can call the Bursar's office for their campus at the following numbers:
Kennesaw (470) 578-6013
Marietta (678) 915-7216
Does your student have an Immunization or Registrar hold?
If so, they can check their account online through Owl Express or contact the Registrar's office for their campus by phone:
Kennesaw (770) 423-6200
Marietta (678) 915-4200
To direct your student on how to learn more about their holds, have them log-in to Owl Express, select Registration, then select View Academic Holds.
